A customer service rep emailed me after my prior review and sent a working replacement. My child is happy and enjoys the light show and driving the car around.

Ordered the light RC car for my kid for Christmas, opened it up added batteries and as others have mentioned the vehicle doesn't move and makes a sound like the engine is trying to do something, yet it never moves.

A dud straight out of the box. The lights are fun and the kid thought those were cool, alas it doesn't function very well as a race car.

I bought this car from amazon and had to send it back because the remote didn't work. They emailed me shortly after I bought it just to see if I was satisfied. Great customer service on their part. I told them what happened and they sent me another at no extra cost. Awesome! The least I could do is review it.

So when they sent me the replacement, I took it
out and put in the batteries. All seemed to be in order. I put it on the floor to give it a go and it kept going to the right. I'm like "what!" They sent me another only for it to be defective! I calmed down a bit and looked it over. To my surprise, there is a thing that resembles a sun dial between the the 2 front tires. The dial was leaning to the right. I used my nails then used a butter knife cause it's kinda hard to move. I didn't know it did move at first, I just tried it. I centered the dial between the l and r and problem solved. I'm like "ok, that's better."

The car is pretty fast. The controls are responsive. It does really well on smooth surfaces. We have hard wood in some areas. Not so well on carpet though. It will go, but slowly and if the carpet is to thick, forget it.

The kids had a blast with it and like to drive it in the dark so they could have the light effect. They're pleased, I'm pleased.

Like i said, it's a nice car and fun to play with. Remember to check the dial if it doesn't drive straight at first.

I love these and ordered 3_for my granddaughters, ages 4, 8, & 10. They LOVED them but ran into unexpected problems.
Trying to race them together, their remotes began controlling one another's cars - even when separated a floor apart!!! They had to play separately one at a time, which stole some of the fun, but that wasn't the major issue.
The cars kept slowing, stalling or only flowing well backwards, but not forwards. I noticed the little white tab between the R & L turns on the bottom was missing, so we searched until finding and replacing it, only to notice it didn't really change anything ... This happened in two of the cars.
I changed all 6 batteries and they're still stalling way too much, not always going forward or turning while trying to go forward. The wheels flip back &
forth, but only proceed in reverse??? The girls hope to try again in the carport once winter temps lighten up.
When working as designed, these cars are a lot of fun and would have been the favorite toy with the girls if not for these issues.

QUESTION: Is that little white steering tab supposed to be removed, or stay in. The two cars without it are now steering better (only on bare floor) than the car that still has in in place.
(I ordered 2, my daughter ordered 1 so there's 3)

UPDATE: Haktoys sent me a replacement really fast, sorry for not updating fast but the new car arrived fast and it works perfectly. Seriously, thanks a lot for taking care of your customers.

I knew that I shouldn't set high expectations for a 15 dollar toy, but I honestly didn't think it was going to work properly for only a day. My daughter was set on it so I bought it and now I regret it. The toy started losing power and it would struggle to move, I tried brand new batteries and the problem persisted. When I contacted the seller they referred me to write a review instead of helping me so here we are.

If you are looking to throw away fifteen dollars maybe you might want to throw them into a wishing well and wish for a decent rc car.
