TLDR; (better than you'd think but if you've never modeled before build a tank or car or something then come back to this.)
The package it shipped in did not inspire confidence, however the contents did not suffer any damages in transit. This is one of the cheapest kits I could find and it being my first model ship and not wanting to ruin a more expensive ship with my lack of knowledge and experience, it seemed a good trade off. This kit is better than I thought it would be for the price the parts and wood are of good quality and this kit comes with some extras like brass cannon and metal anchors. It is however lacking in some areas, Instructions are in Chinese but with pictures. You can follow along in most areas with no problems if you have built a model before. The instructions for decking the hull are non existent and the rigging are insufficient to put it kindly. Those problems can be bypassed though with quick google or youtube searches, so to close I would say the kit is better than the price would suggest but may be beyond a first Model. Maybe a third.
