bought for my arthritis knee to use after I walk. Also used for grandson's Osgood Schlatter after he has sports practice. I keep some in my car, his mom's car and will be taking some on my upcoming trip to ice knee after my walking stint from the day. Size is perfect for the knee area and smaller joints. Easy to activate and works very well. Don't really need to time the 15-20 minutes as when it slowly loses the coldness, its about that time frame anyway, but I still leave it on because it feels good. If you want to ice down let's say your thigh, a bigger size will probable be better. Would definitely buy again as my supply dwindles down.

We had a week of 100+ heat indexes. Teachers stood out on the hot pavement for 20 and 30 minutes directing the cars, and bus drivers had no A/C. I passed these out to everyone because the next day the index hit over 110F. These were greatly appreciated! I've handed them out to kids with sprained wrists and headaches while they waited for the nurse, or who had ice packs that had melted. They stay very cold for over a half hour, probably longer but I haven't checked. I got a new super-mini fridge that holds 6 cans, popped one of these on the top shelf, and the fridge cooled off in minutes instead of a half hour. I've tucked one beside a can to keep it cold, and used them in a lab experiment. These are handy, a good size, get very cold very fast, and stay cold.

I travel a lot and it usually leads to swollen feet and/or ankles. I usually have to refrigerate my cold packs and they do not stay cold for very long. This disposable pack is so easy to use and lasts about 40 minutes! I can't get over how I slept on this great invention. And the beauty of it is that I can toss these into my checked in luggage and have it on-the-go! What! It's not cheap and it's a bit wasteful (I know), but instant pain and swelling relief is priceless. And I still use the reusable packs when I'm at home. I'm not made of money! :)
