Bought one for home hobby use with low expectations. I was blown away, and bought two more for our lab at work. Sharp imaging and great magnification. Only down sides are the stand is cheap plastic so it shakes a little if you're leaning on the table, and the up/down wheel slips a bit but for $60, you can't go wrong. Hopefully it's still on sale for you!

I ordered this based upon other reviews of the product. In the end I decided this was a very good value for the money. In the beginning, there was a little frustration with understanding the button functions because the printed "manual" does not provide a lot of clarity. (If you could pass the 1980's IQ test of setting the timer/clock on a VCR you can manage). Trial and error is a wonderful teacher.
I will say I was amazed at how much detail you get in the microscope images. They are also easy to export or move to a computer with the included micro sd card. The item was very well packaged. I was surprised the power supply, and charging cable were included I did a lot of experimentation to find the limits of the focusing range. And, once you understand how to toggle between the photo, video and viewing modes this microscope is an amazing value for the money. I will post some photos later to this review.
My wife was trained as a marine biologist. She used to look through very expensive microsopes in laboratory settings. Even she was surprised at how much magnification and detail could be obtained with this little gem!
I use this primarily to inspect phonograph cartridges for worn or missing stylus tips. This device works well for that function. It's also great for inspecting jewelry, coins, and small electronic circuits in need of repair.
If you are considering this device I highly recommend it as long as you understand there is a learning curve to understand how to toggle between the different modes and settings. Also, understand you are not getting Zeiss or Nikon optics. What you do get for under $75 is IMO is a GREAT VALUE (until technology advances forward and we get even more for the money). I'm certain this is our benefit from the ever-advancing quality and low cost of cell phone camera technology.
Things I like:
LED lighting (abundant) with dimmer control for both the main LEDs around the perimeter of the lense and the the two moveable goose neck LED's (Mounted to the rear base )to improve side lighting and eliminate shadows.
Viewfinder screen: Glad I opted to spend just a little more for 1080P viewfinder. There were other similar items with 720P. I spent a little more for this item with the1080P display and I am glad I did.
Free micro sd card, charger and charging cable. The manual says you can use almost any 5v micro usb phone charger and cable. In the item I received the "manual" indicated a charger and cable did not come with the microscope. However, both were included with mine.

In the end I found little to dislike about this item except for the clack of clarity of the manual or guide.
That is the only reason I deducted any stars in the review. It has been a tremendous help to me in my business. This item would also be great for budding young scientists looking to explore that world you cannot see with the naked eye!

We keep this plugged in on the small covered back garden patio for the kids to use. It is stored in direct sun and is don g well in open air high humidity of the deep south. Easy to use for adults and expected learning curve for kids 8 and up. Great value for the price.
