I cook a lot of Mexican food which require charging peppers to peel off the skin. I don't have a gas stove or grill, so that method is out. I have a Dash counter top oven that has toaster oven, air fryer, broiler, convection oven, and rotisserie. I have been using the broiler function to char chiles. Last time, I used the air fryer basket and convection setting. Worked good, but those methods make the flesh soft and hard to stuff for chile rellenos. I used this torch to char my peppers for chile rellenos. The flesh is still firm. Should be easier to stuff and fry. My only complaints are it only holds enough fuel to char 1 pepper (not really a valid complaint) . Filling with fuel is messy as butane escapes. There are 3 red plastic parts in the box with absolutely no mention of what for or how they are used. 2 look like nozzles, but I found no way to really use them. But, I am sure glad I got this torch.

Works good, I just don't like that no matter where you set the flame it always comes out on high. I have to light it, lock it while flame is lite. Then turn dial down. Idk why it won't adjust first. You can move the adjustable flame dial but when u lite it itll still be on high.

The media could not be loaded. Definitely can't beat the price for a torch and 2 butane refill cans. This came packaged nicer than expected. The two cans come in a dark blue satchel and the torch in protective packaging in it's own separate box. It's a little larger than I anticipated but certainly no complaints here because it's not any heavier than I'm used to. As seen in my video the trigger doesn't require much effort. It lights up right away and the lock is easy to engage all with one hand. If you're in the market for one, get it!
