The media could not be loaded. I really like stainless steel French presses. I have had glass ones that have lasted a long time, but they have still chipped, especially on the spout. And you always have to be careful washing them. Stainless steel ones "“ and this press has a very thick wall indeed (see pics/video) keep the coffee hot and seem to prevent it from going muddy for much, much longer. I assume that's because ambient light possibly affects coffee, the same way it affects milk? I'm not sure. But whatever the reason, stainless steel is the way to go.
And this is an attractive press! I know somebody else commented that they didn't feel the plunger went down far enough, but for me it does. I tend to prefer the steeping method rather than the full press method, and this makes very good coffee. VERY good coffee! The filter mesh is the right fineness, and plunger and filter fit perfectly into the cylinder. They aren't weak or warped, so no letting grounds through incorrectly, and they also slide down easily. The shape is quite elegant! Simple and modern. It has an extra long handle and a wide spout, and it's balanced and pours easily. I am quite pleased.

The one thing that it didn't have for some reason was an instruction/care book? I mean, I know how to use a French press, but not everybody does, and not everybody knows how to care for them, either. That's a surprising absence, considering that everything down to toothbrushes come with instructions now. And it came in a plain, white, unprinted box. Perhaps this is a beta version? If so, they definitely got it right, but it's not overly giftable in the box it came in, and if you are giving it to someone who is new to a French press you'll have to be on hand to explain all the details.
Other than that, it's awesome. :)

Brews a large quantity of coffee. Very solid. double wall construction keeps coffee hot.

Purchased for use at hunting camp. Guys at camp were impressed with this coffee press. We have used glass coffee presses at camp and have dropped and broken several. I expect that this all stainless steel coffee press will survive several years.. Great value and quality.

I broke a glass french press in my RV in no time. This is a worthy, unbreakable, replacement.

Two minor annoyances.

One, the push down rod is too short. I can not get a good squeeze on the coffee grounds. My solution is to keep some old grounds in the bottom so the new coffee is now high enough to get pressed.

Two, the lid has a cutout to allow pouring. You must turn it to open for pouring, but the is no obvious way from the top to know where the cutout is. I'll mark the top so I can find it.

Keeps my tea warm for hours. Easy to wash, just needs a rinse.
