This controller is way better because polarity is not backwards and doesn't require multiple polarity changers. You get one shot and the competitors (Allto Solar Intelligent 10A MPPT Solar Charge Controller,10 Amp ) blows up because it is not clearly marked and u get one chance. I understand polarity perfectly.
The ONLY drawback to this controller is you can't read the screen. The LCD is neither bright, backlit, but almost visible in sunlight barely or with a flashlight.

Many controllers put the load on a separate output connector. This one assumes you are putting your load in parallel with the battery, which is how most of us install them anyway. This seems to work fine, and the wiring can't be simpler. With it's tiny LED readout, this controller gives you unequivocable measurements that show whether or not your panel is actually charging the system. This is a great feature when using the controller for field instrumentation deployments.

OK, i have tried MANY cheap solar controllers. Most are worthless and don't work or last. This one surprised me. It worked perfectly out of the box.. the printing in the manual was tiny and I had trouble reading it.. It was easy to install and they provided some nice SAE connectors to use.. The connectors are heavy duty. All you do is connect the charger to a battery and then to a panel (in that order). You then hold the button down till it goes into the battery type mode.. which selects between lead acid, AGM and LFP types. This is very nice for this priced controller. it is easy to set up but the LCD display is very hard to see in sunlight. That's not much of a problem though.. I just wait till the sun is going down... this panel will handle 100 watts or 10 amps.. and is intended for use with a 12v battery. Which means it should handle a 125w solar panel. I purchased a few sets of SAE connectors and I use this for multiple batteries and panels. The controller is small and it fits in my battery box on the camper hitch. This would also work well for those newer campers that are "wired" for a solar panel... where you purchase a portable solar panel and place it near your camper. Wired means they run a wire from an external connector on the side of your camper and to your battery. You need a solar controller in line before it gets to the battery.. What you do is connect this 10 amp controller to the back of your solar panel and run the wires to the jack your camper. That way you can charge your battery... For safety: always use a circuit breakers rated for the current being used in line from the wire to your solar controller and in line on your 115v inverter to the 12v battery.
