I like this seat! It is comfortable because it is not too wide and not too soft. It also appears to be well-made and will last a long time. It has a firm foam that's like a very stiff "memory" foam. In general, hard-ish seats are actually more comfortable in the long run. (The least comfortable seat I ever had was one with thick silicone padding!) The drawback--both pretty minor: 1) The seat surface is made from a slightly rough surface, which makes it slightly difficult to "scooch" around on the seat to get to a new position after a bump, or just to change. The second picture shows the seat I had been riding on; it has a much smoother surface. The second issue is also seen in the second photo, and that is that the rail construction means that compared to the other seat, it can't be placed as far back on the bike as with my old seat, which means I have to ride in a slightly more upright position--not necessary a bad thing for my back, though! Just be aware that it may affect you, depending on what you're used to. Note, although it might appear differently due to it different profile, my old seat (in the rear of photo 2) is actually only a half-inch longer.

UPDATE: I went back to my old seat after a few days. It has a narrower profile so that my buttbones don't get so sore, and I decided I really wanted my old riding position back (slightly less upright). It's amazing what a difference one-inch of travel on the rails can make for your overall posture. Nevertheless, this could be the perfect seat for you.

I ride in the city. Our roads are riddled with bumps, potholes, and uneven surfaces. I need a saddle that's not only durable, but comfortable too. This saddle has it! It's easy to install and I didn't use the stem clamp. The seat itself is a durable yet squishable foam that's covered in a rubber-like coating. The rubber tends to hold onto my pant fabric more than other seats, so that's an adjustment I'm making with this seat. Sliding around while riding will happen less, which could be a pro or con, just taking some getting used to.

Overall, I like this as an upgrade over my previous WTB saddle which was less soft and more geared toward speed.

This replacement bicycle seat is very nice. I picked it up to replace an old and cracked seat. It has two ways to mount -- straight on the bike's saddle post, or using the rails. It is adjustable fore and aft, and for tilt to cant forward or back. Assembly for me was super simple as it simply installed on the post. But as I mentioned it has the rails for that alternative type of mount. The memory foam makes it certainly way more comfortable than the old (really old) simple padded saddle; it has enough cush without being too much. It even comes with a vinyl cover (a raincoat if you will) to protect the saddle from the elements if the bike needs to live outside or just gets exposed to the elements; that's easy enough to pull off (takes only seconds) and toss in a bag when riding. The only minor problem I had was when I initially installed it and tightened the mounting bolt to the bike's saddle post. I hopped on and checked to make sure it was secure from twisting, only to find it suddenly tipped back on me. So, I loosened up the bolt, re-aligned everything, and then tightened it again -- this time much more so than I did the first time. Works great now. Some other reviews commented about its weight -- heavy. I guess I'm not particularly sensitive to that as I didn't notice anything negative on that front. All in all, I'm very pleased. I recently ordered the NEXTCOVER® Bike Seat with Memory Foam 2.0 and [Volume-Air] Suspension to install on one of my mountain bikes that had an old, narrow, hard seat.

I worked in the cycling and outdoor industries for over 20 years, Own more bikes than 1 person needs, and have sold, installed, and ridden literally hundreds of seats.

There is a myriad of saddles available on the market to fit a very broad range of needs and wants. The NEXTCOVER seat is aimed more towards comfort which must sacrifice a bit in the areas of profile and weight; in order to incorporate the features that provide the wonderful comfort provided by NEXTCOVER the seat will weight more and have a larger profile than the narrower, lighter, less comfortable saddles on the market. A competitive racer may not want this on their competition bike but most riders are not competitors. The average rider would be unaware if their bikes weighed a few extra or less ounces, and are probably equally concerned about comfort as they are performance.

The NEXTCOVER saddle is a very well made, durable, and extremely comfortable saddle. NEXTCOVER exhibits the quality many of us have come to expect from German products.

The seat arrived with basic but sufficient installation instructions, came equipped with a post clamp (needed for most inexpensive bikes - I didn't need it and removed mine), and included a mid-weight waterproof seat cover. I like the general idea of the seat cover but I'll probably not make use of it.

The NEXTCOVER® Bike Seat with Memory Foam 2.0 and [Volume-Air] Suspension is available at very reasonable price given it design and construction quality and the wonderful comfort it provides and I would readily recommend it!

This is a seriously cushioned seat for my mountain bike. We go for long bike rides on rocky, hilly sand roads and this almost makes me feel I am too comfortable. It is very easy to set up and adjust, and again, very very comfortable. I also love the seat cover for when it is rainy. This is very giftable, I will be getting another one for my husband.
