Complete snowshoe set at an affordable price. Adjustable poles twist and lock in place and a zippered tote bag for storage. As a newbie, used it on both deep snow and on a packed down, icy ground surface. The 21" shoes were easy to manuever. Even in more than 3 feet of snow, I was able to move fairly easy. I wore rain boots with heavy fleece socks for warmth.
The rain boots are easy to get in and out.
If you put your feet in plastic bags they slip in and out very easy! Just a trick I use!!! I know snow boots would fit as well. The snowshoes will be useful in the yard to get around or just for fun. To carry a heavy load, I would even try a larger snowshoe to compare, but this may work.

I was pleased to get this pair of 25 inch Snowshoes and Trekking Poles that come with an Instruction Sheet and a vented Carry Bag with a zipper. I am a total noob and have never tried snowshoeing before. I was pleased to see these have an instruction sheet for how to wear them since I've never put a pair of snowshoes on. Videos help too. These are well made and should support me. It is important to get a size to go with the weight to be carried. Were I hiking with a heavy gear pack and stuff I'd need a bigger pair to suit the load. These look great with the blue aluminum frames and pole shafts that are light in weight. These have thick bottom boot cleats and good bindings for my boots. This set comes with a extendable pair of Trekking poles that feature a telescoping shaft that locks tightly, have snow baskets and wrist loops. The poles have a rubber tip which pops off to reveal a carbide end that limits slips on rock and can dig into ice- 2nd picture. I love that!
Rentals at ski lodges can be $30 a day plus deposit plus late fees - or higher. With these I don't have to even go to a ski area, any snowed over mountain trail will do me fine.

This was a great starter set, providing solid grip and support on the snow. The bootstraps and associated ratcheting system worked well to connect to my boots, providing a snug, seamless fit. My only minor complaint is that compared to the other folks in my group, these created significantly more back spray than the rest, covering me with snow up to the back of my thighs at times. Nonetheless, I was able to hike at a brisk pace with confidence, thanks to good pants. Overall, I like these snowshoes, especially as an occasional user.
