Excellent wireless headphones!

I've been using Sony headphones for about a decade and recently switched back to my wired ZX300's, which I loved. I found myself somewhat limited to my desk while listening to music and I prefer to step away sometimes just so I'm not glued to the screen for long periods of time. I saw the CH520 and it checked all my boxes:
- Affordable
- Bluetooth
- On-ear - in a world where over ear dominates, I appreciate the simplicity and compactness of on-ear

These were on sale for $38 so I pulled the trigger. The ear pads are noise isolating which was a really nice surprise. I love how these feel and the sound is excellent for the type of music I listen to. It's exactly what I wanted, so glad to have these. I only use them inside the house for listening to music so ANC wasn't needed, nor was the built in mics, but it's nice to have that feature.
Room for some basic improvements

These are good bluetooth headphones for the price but the there are a couple of annoying issues. First is the buttons are in black against a black headphone. No contrasting color for purpose markings. They show up fine in the picture because I had it under a magnifying light, but they are incredibly hard to make out unless you're shining a light on them. Second is the headphones in the picture are turned on, but you wouldn't know it. There's no light to indicate they're on. When you first turn them on, the blue light blinks, until it connects, then it goes out. Thus you can't just look to see if you left them on. You have to press the off/on button again to get it to light up. And if you had already turned them off, you just turned them back on. I spoke with customer service and they indicated that this is correct. Then they suggested going to the app and setting up auto-off. Except when they were walking me through the steps, they realized this model doesn't come it auto-off. So you have to just remember to turn them off every time. Speaking of which, I read the licensing and privacy documents (which are tiny font on your phone). To use the app you basically give up your first born child. They want you to log in with your Google account or Facebook account and if you accept the license to use the app, you grant them everything on your Google/Facebook account. Pictures, contacts, anything you said, etc. Since I have a Google email account set up with nothing in it (on purpose) I used that. The app tries to sell you some other apps that do various sound functions. After that it wants you to take pictures of your ears and sent them to Sony to help the app "fine tune" the sound. I skipped that. What's left is an equalizer function that has maybe 6-8 options - like more treble or bass, gaming, voice, etc. I set it up for voice since I'm using these to watch TV and sound editing always drowns out the voice. Bluetooth connecting might take a few tries, but I eventually got it to connect to a couple of TVs and computers. Now the good news: They have fantastic sound. I can hear stuff in my favorite movies I never knew was there, like jingling of keys in pockets, and animals in the background breathing. The clarity is shocking. I also notices that the volume is constant. No more having to turn down the volume when an action scene starts and the sound engineers turned it to 11. I've worn for about 6 hours and the app says I'm still at 97% so battery life it great. Overall impression is I'm very pleased with the sound, hate the lack of on light and black on black buttons, the app is pretty worthless and not really worth giving up all your information for, but easy to get around with an alternative data-less email or Facebook address. For the price, especially on prime day sale, you can't go wrong.
Great Headphones but..

UPDATE (Sept 30, 2023): So it's been about a month of usage and the battery life is absolutely insane. I haven't charged it since the day I got it (Sept 4, 2023) and it's been a blast. These headphones are pretty durable. I can confidently throw them in my bookbag and not have to worry it might get damaged. I also don't have any issues with the headphones getting dirty easily (specifically the white version) if that's a concern you may have. Sound leaking is still apparent, I always have to be conscious about my volume being too high or not in a quiet room which is still something I can't get used to. I noticed the more I used the headphones, the less tension it caused for my ears and the more my ears started to adjust to them. I think at first your ears may feel tight, but after awhile it kinda gets used to it and hurts less, at least, that's how it was for me. Headphones are still going strong and still look brand new. 100% would recommend

ORIGINAL REVIEW (Sept 4, 2023):

To address the other reviews I've been seeing, here's what I've come to terms with:

WHAT I LIKED:
- Very sleek and minimalist. I live for the design, I think it's a great and very aesthetically pleasing.
- You have the option of changing the EQ setting (I changed it so bass can be more and they sound great even without tweaking the settings. Big fan of this feature as this is my first time ever being able to control the EQ settings)
- Connects easily once you get through the app process + Bluetooth connection is pretty good, doesn't disconnect randomly.
- Sound is good for me. Not very headphone savvy, but I can feel the beat of my music and that's always an A in my books.
- Good PASSIVE noise cancelling, these aren't active noise cancelling, but the padding does make your surroundings a little bit muffled so you don't hear as much. Which is fine with me since I'm planning to go to school with these and need to hear my surroundings most of the time.
- Doesn't bother my earrings, don't even notice they're there.
- Good battery life, nothing to complain about. Works throughout the day and can usually take on a few more days, which I find to be pretty impressive.
- like that it's lightweight, I can put it around my neck without it being bothersome for long periods of time and while walking with them on, I don't feel like there's a weight on my head.

WHAT I NOTICED/OTHERS MAY FIND BOTHERSOME:
- In terms of sound leaking, these DO leak. they leak if you go past 50% or higher. This isn't an issue for me since the sound is already pretty loud at 20-30%, but considering those who love to blast music, it may be an issue.
- hurts your ears when wearing it for too long.
- these do NOT fold. Might be kind of inconvenient if you want to travel a lot with these, though, there are cases to store these specific headphones so it might not be so much of a problem.
- the volume up/down and pause buttons are hard to differentiate between. They all kinda feel the same when wearing the headphones and although it's not a big deal to me, it could be inconvenient and frustrating to others.

Haven't tested out calling abilities or connecting w/ 2 devices at the same time, but the things I said above were the things I noticed when I first unboxed and tested them. In my opinion, I think these are great, they work for me, and I like them. There's definitely things to improve on, but I'm not complaining. Gave it a 4 stars due to all the factors I noticed that may be a hindrance to myself and/or others when wearing these headphones. Otherwise, I think these headphones are worth a try, I'm pretty happy with these and I don't regret buying them :) 8/10 for me
Awesome adorable wireless headphones!

After doing tons of research on a pair of wireless, Bluetooth headphones, I decided to try these. I'm so glad I did! They are exactly what I was looking for and have met my needs perfectly. I have had mine for a few weeks and listen 2-3 times per week for a couple of hours at a time. I have worn them while waiting at the doctor's office, doing chores around the house, and while doing yard work. They are comfortable enough that I have no problem wearing them for several hours at a time. I love that they can adjust to fit my head to increase the comfort (I am a woman with an average-sized head). They aren't active headphones, so I wasn't sure what to expect as far as holding up to moisture or movement, but they don't budge even when I'm sweating and moving around a lot doing yard work.
The sound quality is satisfactory for me. I like my music to sound good, but I don't need to have the BEST audio quality, either. I would imagine that for the average listener, these a would be great.
I had really wanted noise-canceling headphones, but my budget didn't allow for that. In most situations, I don't miss that feature"”I can hear my music clearly, even at a low volume, and background noise is drowned out. When I am mowing the lawn or using the weed eater, I can hear the machinery through my music, even when the headphones are at top volume. The machine sound is muffled enough that it doesn't bother me, but it's something to consider. Also, I listened to them at top volume in my house (which was otherwise quiet), and my boyfriend couldn't hear any sound bleeding through them.
The battery life and range are both impressive. I have charged my headphones once to be on the safe side, but I didn't have to. Once, I left my phone in the house without realizing it, and was out in the backyard for hours with no disruption to the music.
The one thing that I don't love is having to use a separate app to use my headphones. When I bought these, I had imagined that they would be like other Bluetooth audio devices and would connect automatically to my phone after initial setup without the need for any additional software. Instead, you have to download an app before using and then open the app and press a button to connect each time you use the headphones. I understand that the app is also useful in that this is how software updates to the headphones are provided. There are some features in the app that others might appreciate (listening logs and badges for listening for certain amounts of time), but that I don't use. I am not taking any stars off because it's a matter of personal preference, but it is something to note and something I didn't realize before purchasing.

If you are looking for affordable Bluetooth headphones, give these a try!
Good not great

Value for the price as headphones do get pricey. The charge lasts a good time and they charge very quickly. You can't use them while they are charging. They will also tell you the charge when you turn them on. No one complains they can't hear me but I will say I wish the sound quality was a little bit better.

I dont know if you can do better in this price range but I haven't so far.
