I just installed this yesterday so naturally I cannot yet speak to longevity, but installation was super easy. You slip it over the chimney and tighten 4 screws. I suppose I also had to bend the bottom screen a bit with some pliers. That's there to close the bottom off if there's much of a gap between product size and your actual chimney. I'd say I spent more time setting up the ladder and getting on the roof than I did installing this. It felt heavy duty and durable. The finish seems like it will hold up to the whether well. If I had a second chimney I would definitely order this product again.
