This arrived in a surprisingly small box and we thought pieces must be missing but it was all there. Assembly took my husband about 4 hours and I just had to help hold things a few times. My husband says it was fairly easy but the slats at the bottom were difficult to keep aligned. Once assembled, my kids were excited. My son is 3 and found the ladder easy to climb. The bottom part is so low I can't sit with my daughter and read to her without bumping my head but it's really the prefect size for little kids. It creaks a lot and the ladder doesn't screw into the bottom so it flaps loose and that scares my son when he climbs down. I think we can jerry rig something to keep it still.

The only issue I had with this bed is that they put a huge sticker with a warning to make sure the mattress is less than 6 in tall. It took me just as long to get that sticker off as it did to put the bed together. -_-
Other than that it's a really sturdy bed, I love the fact that it's metal and not wood. I always find it so much easier and find that it lasts longer when it's metal vs. the cheap "wood" furniture is made out of now.

All in all it's a good/nice bed, easy to build for the most part. Definitely need at least 2 people. My only problem was the ladder wasn't aligned. So we kinda had to force it into its place. I think it was just a factory malfunction. But it's a nice bed :)
