looks good at the start, time will tell how well this lasts

The media could not be loaded. I do a lot of vegetable gardening. I like using some sort of weed barrier with cutouts for my plants to reduce the time I have to spend weeding. I got this landscape fabric from GreatBuddy to try for that purpose. It's a long 50 foot roll that's about 3 feet wide.
What's unique about this that I haven't used before is it's sort of a "hybrid." It has traditional woven polypropylene on one side, but add a non-woven soft layer on the other side to keep the woven layer from unravelling when you cut it. It's an interesting blending of techniques. I like the idea and it seems to work at the start. The real test is going to be how long it lasts, but that will take time to tell. It's permeable to easily let water in.
My concern is how durable the non-woven part is. There were two pieces of tape holding the roll together. Simply removing that tape (slowly and carefully) pulled a lot of fibers off and left some frayed areas.
I'm happy with this at the start, but I will have to see how this does after a fully season with it in the garden.

Rock bed

My rock beds were bursting through the seams with weeds. I am waiting to see how it holds up during the summer but so far so good. Easy install. I didnt see those tiny holes in the fabric like i did with barrier that comes from lowes so lets see what happens
Thick and sturdy landscaping cloth
Andy Halberstadt✓ Verified Purchase•August 18, 2023
We go through a LOT of landscaping cloth on our family farm and this Great Buddy landscaping cloth is very impressive. It's thicker and heavier than most of the cloth we've used in the past, which is the key element of good landscaping cloth. The guidelines/overlap lines are easy to see even in full daylight"”if you've ever had a large project then you know this is really important. Overall, very pleased with the quality and sturdiness of this Great Buddy landscaping cloth.
Good landscape fabric
VinnyD✓ Verified Purchase•July 14, 2023
This landscape fabric is not heavyweight, but it is also not lightweight. I would say it is mediumweight. I already placed it in an area in the back of my yard. The area has weeds and by placing and securing the fabric with staples to the ground. I plan to leave it over the winter and by spring, all weeds will be gone. You get 50 feet, which is a lot. I will have many uses for this fabric.
Quality appears to be very good
