these realistic tools are light weight and easy to carry for an almost two year old. There are several pieces and this set feels like he can "grow into" it. We will hold back the smaller pieces until he is a little older. And the back hoe has its own screw driver so that kids can take it apart and put it back together. Now he can fix things just like his Daddy. It has a "working" drill if you can get the battery compartment open

This is one of the most comprehensive tool sets I've seen for kids. It has just about everything! My daughter has gotten tons of play time out of this. She also loves grabbing it to work alongside daddy while he's fixing or building things. It's so adorable that it's definitely worth buying! One word of caution - it isn't built as well as some of the sets we've had, which means the power tool part does not hold up to getting wet. Others have been dunked in the toilet or sink and have worked fine. This was left in the rain and stopped working.

I love that this set comes with an insert glued on the inside that has information about the different types of tools included. Not only can my kid play but learn more about tools at the same time. Having a closed case is another pro. There are A LOT of parts so having an enclosed place to keep them is definitely key.
The tool belt is cute although we haven't really figured out what tools to put on it yet. I haven't bothered to put it around my 2 year olds waist as I know he would immediately want it off. Perhaps it is something he can grow into.
This set is advised for ages 3 and up!! With that I would say know your kid and monitor the play with the small bits and screws or put up smaller pieces if they are not old enough yet.
The drill is battery powered and so fun. We also love the goggles and the fit my son comfortably.
