I like floor sleeping but also keeping my futon mattress directly off the floor. This bed plate does the trick and is nice. No assembly required. It's easy to roll out and roll back up. Very happy with it.

We were looking for a lifted mat for the queen size mattress in our new truck camper. We had seen some other set ups but those were cost prohibitive. The box was not too hard to get up the stairs and through the door. But having a person on each end helped. Installing was super easy. We were able to lift one end of the mattress, put this down and lift the other. Seriously though, maneuvering a mattress in a cab over is never really easy. We were pleased that this just rolled out. The pictures show the side (with close together slats) and the end with the corner piece. The wood does not snag our bedding. Plus, I can run a cord under/between the slats to the other side of the bed for a charger.

Yeah it's basically a flexible pallet, but isn't that what it's advertised as? Don't expect something different. I sleep on the floor regularly. I roll this out,have one of those futon sleep mats rolled out on top of that. For some weird reason moisture started getting on my futon overnight,ordered this and no more problem. The floor in this house must be colder to because I am warmer at night too.if I get a larger futon in the future going to get another one of these as well.

I think it's made of pine. The surface is very smooth and nice, but there are some splinters between some of the slats. Not all of the slats lay perfectly flat, but this probably won't matter when a mattress is placed on top. There are two places where the slats are spaced a little wider (so it can be folded) shown in my photos. The slats themselves are about half an inch thick but have enough support that I was able to walk over them and didn't feel any bending or hear any cracking. The Queen size measured 77" L x 59" W. Overall, it is reasonably nice and I'm happy with it.
