Materials used for construction appear to be fairly sturdy. Note that effectiveness for weeds in cracks will be limited by the width of the cracks. I found that I had to angle the blade somewhat to get thicker weeds growing in wider sidewalk cracks. Overall worked well but the handle could have been made a lot thicker which would make holding it much easier. Ended up building up the handle with an old tennis racquet grip to give me more leverage.
It does the job well. Handy and sturdy tool.
