I bought this along with another style ice pack for my impending surgery. This particular pack, hands down, is the one I'm using most! It's just like a slipper with the Velcro wrap that goes above the ankle. Because of the shape, most of the cold seems to center more on the ankle than the forefoot which is what I need. I should've ordered a size smaller but didn't because I thought my foot was going to swell more than it did. If I had, the smaller size would probably help my forefoot more. But yes, incredibly comfortable if you need an ice pack!

It's helped me a lot with my arthritic ankle. I would suggest where the split is at the top to have an overlap to cover the split. My arthritis is in top of joint and would like that area chilled and covered. Other than that it has been great.

It surrounds the foot for 360' degrees of cold relief. The only draw back is I wear a size 12 shoe, so I had to order the extra large. The extra large fits sizes 11 to 14, so the boot is a little baggy. Overall I very satisfied.
