Worked perfectly right out of the box!

I purchased this external drive, model CT10, and I am very happy with it so far. I have not had a drive in my Windows 11 PC for more than a year until I remembered about these external units and checked them out. I liked the extra ports in the back so I bought it and got it yesterday, 9/21/23.Â

It's so nice!! It worked with my onboard Windows Media Player to play, rip, and burn a CD immediately and it called up VLC, which I had forgotten I even had, as soon as I placed in a DVD, so smooth!
The only downer was the cord is so short for my setup! I could not put it on my desktop (because they say in their instructions to use the ports in the back, not the front) so it is on the top of my PC tower which sits behind my monitor. It's a little fiddly to use it but I'm very happy with how it performed right out of the box, so I will deal with it!
A little insert note said to please contact them directly with any problems but that if everything worked ok to send them an email to let them know and they will add an extra 2 years of warranty, very nice! I just sent that email so if I do not get the extra warranty, or the thing breaks down within a year, I will update this review.
