This is a pretty neat dino toy! I haven't seen one that moves as fun and fast as this one can. He even moves over a low pile carpet with no issues whatsoever.

THE GOOD: he is neat! He spews blue water spray out of his mouth......make sure you do this in the darkness to get the full feature and effect. He darn near is able to run across the floor, it is so funny to see. The remote works fine but it takes batteries. He makes alot of great noise!

THE BAD: wished he would just come fully assembled. You have to put him together using these microscopic screws. If you are anything like me, grab your reading glasses because you will need them. The dino himself has a USB charge but it doesn't seem to last very long so be prepared to recharge him all of the time if he is played with.

This toy is decent quality but definitely nothing that is going to last generations. It is made of lightweight plastic and I could see him breaking over time. I think the current price point is fair for such a neat dino.

I love that my nephew adores it, the only thing that scares me it comes a little fast at my feet when im not looling.. which he loves!

My Dino obsessed 7yr old LOVES this remote control T-Rex. It was well packaged and feels sturdy. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble, and came with all of the tools necessary to put together, and even a handful extra screws. (Batteries aren't included, but it takes 2 AA, and we keep a Costco pack on hand, so that was a non issue for us.)
My 4yr old has a remote control Velociraptor that was previously purchased from a different vendor, and they've already been "˜battling' their Dinos for hours. (The T-Rex is very loud, the kids love it, but something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to noise)

The media could not be loaded. There is a bit of assembly required, which a small child probably could not do. However, nothing serious. Four tiny cap screws to attach the rear legs, and then push/snap for the arms and tail. They give you 10 screws and I quickly found out why. The screws are very small, and have to be kind of dropped into the hole and then you use a screwdriver to wiggle them into place and then tighten. I dropped several doing this in the process of attaching the legs. There is no external battery to recharge, it is built into the dino, so you need to charge via a standard micro USB slot on the belly of the dino. The negative to this is that you only get one charge before you have to plug it in for an hour. With other RC toys, you simply pop another charged battery in and keep going. Also, these small lithium batteries do have a limited number of times they can be recharged, although usually hundreds of times. Still, once the internal battery is shot, the toy is also. However, the plastic gears inside rc toys in this price range will probably not last as long as the battery does, so not a problem. At any rate, this dino is so cool and realistic sounding that I can't really drop it down to 4 stars. It scoots around the floor pretty fast for a "walking" type of rc toy. This one handles carpets pretty well as long as you go from floor to carpet head on. If at an angle, the dino will often tip over.

The media could not be loaded. My son was initially startled by this toy as it moves quickly, makes lots of noise, and has light that comes out of the mouth. Very fun and exciting! Remote didn't work so that was disappointing.
