I can only compare this to one other smaller/more basic espresso machine I had previously, but so far I've used this for a week and love it. I love the double shot option and it being automatic so I don't have to turn it off once I have the right sized shot. Easy to clean and doesn't take up much space. I've been using white coffee espresso in it and it tastes just like Dutch, so it seems like a great at home option to me.

I'm no expert on espresso machines, but this is the fourth one we have had in the past 15 or so years.
Here's what I like about this one:
1. 20 bars pressure. I don't know if 15 bars would work just as well, but this machine pulls a shot as good as most coffee shops.
2. It foams the milk better than anything we've ever owned. You can actually pour a rosette (although I haven't mastered that yet).
3. It warms up in seconds.
4. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space.
The only issue I think someone might have is that the shell isn't metal, but at this price I would expect that. We've had $300 metal ones that never worked this well.
