Sounds good for less money

What got me interested besides the price was the rechargeable battery feature. I'm really tired of changing 9 volt dead batteries. I have been looking for a soundhole pickup I could swap between various acoustics primarily for recording options. I like a direct line out in addition to the condenser mics and this will more than fit the bill. Lots of tone options between the pickup and its small condenser mic. Quiet, no hum. They even included a little hanger for the plug off your strap holder pin. It can also be permanently installed. I would suggest adding some preamp and or an EQ pedal. At $46, this is one quarter the price of similar name brands that frankly were disappointing for various reasons. And it recharges quickly with a cell phone charger. Cable included.

Granted I haven't tried all of the high end acoustic guitar pickups, but I have tried some inexpensive ones. At this price point, I don see how you could possibly be displeased with the sound you get from this. I'm not gigging and just playing for myself at relatively low volumes, but I hardly even get the sense that the sound is not coming right out of my guitar.
The key is that you can adjust the base and treble as well as volume on the magnetic pickup and ALSO adjust the tone and volume on the acoustic pickup. This allows you to shape the sound to your taste, to your room, to your amplifier. It's very flexible.
The key factor for me is that I tend to play more softly and quietly than probably most guitar players. What this pickup does for me is give me a very BALANCED sound across all six strings and makes all of the little melody notes mixed in with the chords stand out nicely instead of being swamped by the rest of the strings.
I may not be a typical guitar player since I play mainly with the fleshy parts of my fingers, but this pickup gives me much better definition and lets more of the subtle parts not get lost. I love it.

I bought this the other day. I've been playing guitar live for 25 years, I've used a Sunrise pickup, an LR Baggs M1 and a few K&K's. This pickup just sounds great. If I were told it were a $250 pickup, I wouldn't bat an eye. Worth it, buy it!
