This ice wrap is the real deal. Researched a lot of knee wraps and ice machines prior to my knee replacement surgery and have to say that this wrap is easy to use, gets very cold, and really helps the during the healing and rehabilitation process.

For the amount of time icing is used post surgery, I didn't want to invest in a cool water pump. I also didn't want the trouble of fighting with tubing and being held hostage by an electric cord. I ordered two of the XXL gel ice packs, and they worked great post surgery. I wear one while the other is in the freezer. They're comfortable and cover your entire knee with nice long Velcro straps (I'm a heavy woman) and the fleecy lining prevents that icy feeling on your skin. You can move around and go to the bathroom without disconnecting everything. The only downside is it lasts about 3 to 4 hours but takes a full six hours to refreeze, but I used a few regular hospital type ice bags for a few hours in between if needed, and it was fine. Overall, this is a perfect choice for post surgery total knee replacement icing.

These knee wraps are great. I ordered mine for my knee replacement rehab and they worked wonderfully. The velcro straps make them very adjustable so they don't move around and this brand stayed cold for almost 90 minutes. I ordered two pair so one could be freezing while I used the other one. I liked them so much that for Christmas I gave them to a couple of my friends who have knee problems. They both liked them as much as I did. A helpful hint; before you freeze them, roll them up. That way you won't have to struggle to bend frozen ones around your knee.

I had a Total Knee Replacement a few months ago and wanted something with better coverage than my existing gel ice pack. This one does that, the best feature. As advertised, it wraps my whole knee plus part of my calf and thigh. I particularly like that there is no knee hole. With gel ice throughout the whole area, I get all over relief. I also like that it works well either fully frozen from the freezer or just very cold from the fridge. This is due to the option of two sides so you can monitor just how much cold you want, or how long you have chilled it between uses.
There are a couple of things I don't like. A lot of frost builds up on the surface even when used fully frozen from the freezer. This causes moisture to drip off during use. And the straps get really wet, I'm not sure why, probably from the frost turning to water under the straps The gel pack has no detectable leaks, this moisture is all around and you can see the frost on it. Also, it's very stiff out of the freezer. This is less of an issue because it's flexible so you can mold it to your body as you tighten the straps around.
Overall, I am happy with this product, do not regret buying it and have recommended it to friends
