Gimmicky, but good!
Joseph Pranschke✓ Verified Purchase•December 18, 2023
Obviously if you buy these dice, you're doing so for the gimmick. This gimmick happened to be perfect for my revolver-wielding d&d character, and I was happily surprised with the quality! The "chamber" is very nice, and the spinning fidget feature is super satisfying. The dice themselves are pretty hefty, but not quite as heavy as your usual metal dice. From my brief testing, they seem to roll fairly and don't get stuck between numbers easily (though for the larger dice like the d20 and d12, you'll probably want to use a dice tray or else they might roll away).
I only have a few VERY SMALL issues with them-
1. As others have said, when in the chamber, the dice do rest at slightly different heights (the d4 in particular sits much higher than the others). This doesn't present a problem with the spinning chamber or anything, but it's not quite perfect.
2. The d20 can be kind of hard to read. This just comes with the nature of the gimmick, but still, be prepared for some slowdowns and possibly arguments on the "real" number if you use these in game.
3. My d6 came with a very minor defect (pictured). The 5 is very thinly lined, to the point where it can be difficult to see unless in direct light. It's not the end of the world, but a bit of a bummer for the price.
Overall though, I absolutely love these dice. They're definitely the coolest and most unique set I own, and were worth every penny for the "wow!" factor alone. If you're playing a character with a gun-slinging gimmick, trust me- get these. Your table's reaction will be great!

An impressive and unique set of dice!

This set of dice is a little odd with how much they roll, but they are very unique and fun to play with.
Really Cool Novelty Set

If this was a bit cheaper I wouldn't even mention this, but the swing on the cylinder is a little looser than I expected and the release doesn't always work the first time or re-latch itself when you shut it.
Aside from this the weight is good, the pieces are solid and roll well, but if you haven't used barrel dice before I wouldn't roll them on a table with a lean or with no dice tray, barrel dice like to keep their momentum more than standard polyhedrons, but these ones even more so with the metal composition. The spin on the cylinder is VERY clean and works as something to keep you busy if you're looking for something to toy with while waiting or doing something that doesn't need your hands. The numbers are the dice are small but the font is crisp; it can be harder to read if your light isn't good, but the option with white painted numbers and darker metal might be easier.
Overall as long as these aren't the only dice you plan to use and you want this more for the fun of it and the decorative element thereof, it's a good gift idea for your nerdy friends and a good thing to have to spice up your tabletop decor.

Cool product, but

So I love fidgeting with the revolver and absolutely love the weight. The dice look super cool, even if the d20 is a little hard to read. Overall, I'm happy with the product, but, I do have 1 major complaint.
The pin that was put in the hinge, on my first day of having this, fell out, and now it doesn't want to stay in the hinge when I insert it via the bottom (where it's supposed to go). Instead, I've had to insert it at the top where it stays a little bit better, but it does look a tad bit more ugly as a result, and I do still need to be careful now.
So my main point of advice is be careful for that pin, and to the creators, if you're reading this, is there some sort of way to have a cap, or anything, at the top hole that could better hold the pin?

Very cool.

This dice set is amazing. Can't wait to use them. The cylinder/dice holder also doubles as a fidget spinner. So cool, so fun.
