The only thing I am concerned about with this item is the drawers. They are made of cloth so I wonder how they will hold up after repeated use. Otherwise, it is very sturdy. It did take my husband and me about 90 minutes to put it together. The instructions are mostly clear. There area few spots where you really need to pay attention to the picture to make sure you are not putting pieces on backwards. You will see a few comments about how the holes don't line up. We accidentally installed one piece backwards and only figured it out when the holes in the next step didn't line up. Make sure you follow the instructions and really look at the photos. My daughter loves her new desk. Now that she's in high school, there are a lot more textbooks to use. This gives her space for her laptop and multiple books open at the same time. Overall, I would recommend this desk to others. The price is great for what you get.

Although it took a while to get this desk assembled, it is very sturdy. I was a bit surprised that the two drawers are actually fabric storage containers and not actual wood drawers.
The desktop is not sanded down to a smooth finish, so if you write on the top of it, your writing comes out crooked and wavy. You have to write on something more solid.
