Seemed well packaged. Faces were covered and corners were covered but long edges just had the cardboard over it. 4 dents in the long edges and a dented corner. I was able to place the majority of dents against the wall and trim to length needed removed the dented corner. But if you need absolutely no dents or dings not sure that is possible. I bought 3 at once and only one showed up perfect!

What is Hevea? I still don't exactly know. I can say it is hardwood. It took both stain and polyurethane nicely. It was packaged with care, although at 67 lbs. my UPS carrier wasn't pleased. I am thrilled with the piece! Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful thick butcher block. I normally don't purchase an item with such little reviews but I gambled on this for one reason... the way they package it for transport. I don't see any way this could have been damaged with the way it came packaged. It stained nicely as well. You won't regret this purchase if your looking for a good quality butcher block for a decent price.
I'm actually planning on purchasing a secondary board because I liked this one so much.
Update: there will be some spots that seem tacky on your board if you stain a few coats. I used a 400 grit orbital sander and took 1 layer of stain off then added a fine layer of stain and it's extremely smooth now now tackiness.

My order was well packed. My countertop was thick and already sanded that's so easy to paint and then attach four legs. I used this countertop to DIY a coffee table. It just took around 1 hour to finish, once painted, the colors looked stunning, expensive but at a affordable price, pretty amazing experience. I'm truly happy with my purchase.
