Can't figure out why they have the cord to go under your foot? Also. Only need right foot but have to order left & right. ??

I studied all the different models of this method of bunion correction, and chose this one for several reasons, but mostly because there is a generous amount of velcro securing the position of choice. Velcro tends to become useless after threads, hairs and lint gets stuck in the hooks, so a small amount of hooks won't last as long as a generous one. These are also very soft (flannel) lined and fit perfectly. You can wear them in slip-in, backless slippers, all day, or night. At first, I woke up in pain after wearing them several hours, because I fixed the velcro pretty tight. I simply loosened them and no pain, but still separating. After a month, my bunions have become used to more pressure, and I rarely have to change the tightness of them. They separate your large toe from the next, and have a very stiff padded metal band that won't bend. I expect to be able to use them a very long time. As to whether they will actually stop big-toe-overlapping the one next to it, I can't say. If someone knows that, let me know? PS: the skin colored option is good. You hardly see therm.

Bought these because I have a small bunion on my right foot. After reading lots of articles about bunions, I
gave in to the fact that the best I could do is slow the progression of the problem. So I invested in this product along with some other orthotics. They are easy to put on, soft and quite comfortable if not used for long periods of time. The instructions are adequate.

The brace simple to use and comfortable to wear. It's comfortable enough to keep it on for many hours. I can walk with it on and also can wear it in bed while I'm sleeping. It's much easier to use than one of those fancier braces with a hinge.
