We got this to take care of a family of rock squirrels that was hanging out under our bird feeder, tearing up the yard and eating anything green. We baited the trap with sunflower seeds and caught the male within the first 15 minutes. We caught the female an hour later and two juveniles the next day. Then we just hosed it off and put it away. It was nice to be able to relocate the entire family as a unit to a nearby county park. The trap sets easily, trips reliably, and could not be simpler to use. And it's cheap, too. Couldn't be happier!
Only for very small animals

I got this for squirrels and it's wayy too small even a large rat was very much too big for this trap totally unfair and inhumane get the bigger size for squirrels and large rats but overall great trap works great for animals under 8 Inches including tail
Great trap. Just be sure you have a plan for what you will do.

This cage is pretty easyto set up. I trapped 3 of the four kittens that were in my garage. Kept them inside gor a few hours but they are still scared of me after I released them. I put basically a twist tie on the cage opening so they go back in the cage for now. They are going in again but not like the first time. Cats are smart. Your quarry may be too. So make sure you know what you are doing when you get the animal trapped. Mine are cute. Are yours? You may only get one chance. The trap is awesome but animals are wary and often quite intelligent.
good

Caught the two squirrels that were terrorizing my vegetable garden and my wife's flowers. The cage set- up was relatively easy. I would mention that in the setup instructions the supporting frame is NOT oblong; it is rectangular with rounded corners. What is importantly lacking is any instructions for releasing the caught animal. My procedure worked well for me. First, I covered the cage with an old towel with a slit cut in the top to allow me to carry the cage without worrying about the critter snagging my fingers (do wear leather gloves!) The towel also calmed the squirrel down. Secondly, I took the cage to where I was going to release it. I placed the cage on the ground with its back facing away from me. I lifted the towel to uncover the back half. I had fashioned a small metal rod from a coat hanger and used it to reach through the top of the cage and pull the back cage panel up to the top of the cage. As soon as it was lifted, the squirrel shot out of the cage. Same for the second squirrel caught the next day.
