The product itself is cute and colorful, which appeals to kids. My toddler is always interested in watching his dad work out and tries to work out with him. Of course, when we got this, he was no longer interested in working out with dad anymore. We'll try to introduce it again, but I do like that you can add sand or water to it to add overall weight to the product. I took a star off for the general quality. It felt like really cheap plastic to me, and a product that you might be adding sand or water should be made of more durable material.

Ok this is too cute. You can actually fill the rings with water to make them heavier. My nephew is really into fitness so I knew he'd get a kick out of this for his own son. I like to have toys at my house for him to play with and he loved stacking and restacking. Of course, he's too young to add any water to it and honestly I doubt he'll use it to work out (I see no need to rush kids into weight lifting of any kind), but it's a fun toy to have around and the adults like taking it apart and putting it together too.

Not quite as smooth as I had hoped - but still useable for the purpose we wanted. At first we just used it empty, allowing my nearly-2-year-old granddaughter to "play weights" with mommy, who also uses a kettlebell in her home gym. She then wanted it to be "more heavy like mommy's", so we added some water to two of them, enough to add a little weight. It will be easy to do this to all of them as she gets stronger, and requests it to be heavier. Recommend!

My daughters been carrying this around and pretending to do squats and swings as best she can. It does have the ability to add water, I think, there is a red plug on each plate and a quantity in mL molded on each plate. But I'm not about to add water to a kids toy no matter who makes it. It looks secure but I will not be adding water to it. I do like you can take the plates out but it's really not that heavy to begin with.
