Will not handle even 45v PV

I connected PV's that show 45VDC open and the display just flickers. Thought it was defective so returned it - replacement does the same thing. When I connect a smaller panel (about 21VDC open) it works normally, and the amp hour counter shows more per hour than a similar PWM controller. I did not verify this with a separate meter. Aside from these oddities it seems to be a good controller for the price, so 4 stars.

Works well, although not efficiently, with 12v panels. It's easy to use although has no setting for Li batteries. I use one for 12v LiFeP battery and it works fine. You can set the voltage for charge and float. USB outlets control voltage at 5.1 v regardless of battery volts (anything from 10.5 to 14 on mine). Worth the price for the controlled USB voltage from a 12v battery.

It works, works great but the directions or the tiny little instructions that come with it are worthless and not in order. You can figure it out yourself better. The voltages don't match with my Fluke VOM Meter but not that far off. I have it set up with 2 each 100 watt solar panels, 2 each 180 amp deep cycle batteries in a 12 volt parallel and charge 2 each 1000 watt solar generators, the shut down low voltage is 10.7 and 14.4 at high. It doesn't like to do both solar input to batteries and output to load at the same time causing it to jump around between low and high limit volts but you can set it to do each one separately where it works great. The 2 USB's work well and put out 2 volts. It works just as good as the $200 ones except it's sensitive , for the price it's well worth it.

It does what it is supposed to do and it is durable. This regulated the electricity for my chicken coop. I left it mostly exposed to the elements out of sheer laziness this fall. It continues to work all through the winter through wind rain, snow and ice. I will likely replace it in the summer if it doesn't fail before, but now I am just curious about how long it might last. Good quality. Thanks!
