So far this antenna works pretty well although number of channels available depends on where your television is located, but the reception is phenomenal. Haven't tried it yet in the lower level where my big screen is located but I assume the performance will be limited being that the television is no where near the small windows. We'll see, ask me again in a few days. If it's decent then I'll be purchasing a few more. This one I just got is primarily a test !

Purchased this due to the dispute between DirecTV and Fox.
It was difficult to get the Co-ax conector to screw into the connection on my Samsung TV but eventually with some persuasion I (my son) got it.
Problem was TV did not see the connection. Sloved by unplugging the TV for the power outlet.
Now the TV recognized the Antenna and the search for channels began. Device found 35 HD -Air channels and a lot of other channels.
I live in a rural suburban area in Northern Colorado. The transmission tower is more than 40 miles away over hills and through trees to the south west of Denver so I used the long distance position. The antenna is on top of the entertainment system in my living room, so it was picking up stations through the walls of my house. Quality of picture is as good as DirecTV stations.

Forget about 40 additional channels. I get my local stations and PBS which is what I really wanted so I'm happy with it. It is very sensitive so try a few different places.
