I've been using one of these in my own house for a while now, and I use it regularly. It's one of those things you never knew you needed until you try it. It's great at saving time, space, and money, and keeps my hands clean whenever I need to press the trash down. I'm the one in charge of trash around here and let me tell you I did not like reaching my hand in there to push stuff down so when I saw this I figured hey small problem fixed. It arrived just fine with no defects that I could see. Getting it out it is a large block with a handle and a metal hook to hang it off your trash bin. I use a simple human trash can and it hung off the edge just fine. Using it for the first time after my wife had made a meal I was able to push everything down without having to touch any of the juices form the meal. All in all, while this isn't a necessity it is quite nice for me.
