This is actually a pretty good product if you want a small amount of coffee. I like super hot coffee, leave it on the burner, it will get a little hotter, then for me it's into the microwave. I haven't found a coffee maker other than a percolator that delivers that. It looks good and the quality is there, pretty quick too!

My old old old 5 cup coffee maker died so I settled on this one. The 5 Cup, Stainless Steel Carafe did not come with it but it fits perfectly ( you can get one here on amazon). The lid has 3 little vent holes which really helps with the water build up on the inside of lid. The coffee is very hot, I pour a little cold water in mine just to cool it a bit. The reason I took one star off are two fold; No water filter and no automatic turn off if you forget. Otherwise I highly recommend.

I didn't need all the bells and whistles such as timers and brew strengths, so I was delighted to find this simple model. And almost 2 years after I purchased it, I'm still happy with it. In addition to it operating like a charm, it's the only coffee maker I've ever had with a carafe that doesn't spill a drop when one pours it.

As the only Decaf drinker in the household I needed to get an individual size pot. Lots of choices, but I decided on this one after reading a lot of reviews. It's small, easy to store, easy to clean and the warm plate keeps the coffee nice and hot if you decide to make enough for that second cup. The only negative is that it doesn't come with instructions, but you can download a PDF from Krups. The instructions say to use one scoop (they provide a small plastic one) for every cup (they define a cup as 5 ounces) of water. The provided scoop is really tiny and I found that it was way too weak with their formula, but with a little experimenting I was able to find just the right ratio of coffee to water for my tastes. If you buy this pot you may want to play around with the mixture a little too. Overall, I highly recommend this for a person who only needs to make about 25 ounces of coffee or less.

No bells, no whistles, no clock, no timed brew function, small footprint - just a great coffee maker! This is exactly what I wanted. My old coffee maker cost twice as much and had 7 or 8 detachable parts. Grind the beans, dump the grounds into the permanent filter, pour in the water, turn it on by pressing the only switch . 7 minutes later, great coffee. I would definitely buy this machine again. FYI, 1 hour shut off and first cup pour are the only two "functions" on this coffee maker. Some of the negative reviews are clearly referencing other machines. For example, reviews mentioning 3 brew options, 5 cup capacity, no auto shut off, etc. are misplaced.
