Love this kit!
The tools--spade, hachet, etc.--feel heavy and very sturdy. The smaller items--flashlight, knife, fire starter, etc.--also feel pretty substantial. There's a lot of first aid items--including what feels like a huge bag of cotton balls-including ice pack, burn dressings, insect sting wipes, bandaids, gauze, tweezers, gloves, cotton swabs, etc. It also comes with a heavy duty ink pen/stylus--I'm not a survivalist, but I think the stylus might be for etching glass to break it? It wouldn't have occurred to me to have a pen in my survival kit, but it's a great idea. There's even a parachute cord bracelet with a compass.
This all packs up pretty small--you could wear it as a fanny pack. It feels like good quality and the bag has lots of straps, loops, and velcro to keep things organized.
My only suggestion would be to put some sort of information insert in--I couldn't quite figure out what the fire starter was or what kind of batteries I needed for the lantern and flash light. Also still don't know exactly what the stylus end of the pen is for.

I have to confess - while I appreciate everything in here, getting it all to fit back in the bag is akin to trying to refold a map while riding on the back of a jetski. It's just not all going to fit back in the bag with the grace it did before.
So as for the stuff itself - I mean, look, it's for emergency use. Tools here aren't going to be of lifetime-warranty-SnapOn quality. They are there to get you out of a jam. So consider the hardware here good "enough." But there's enough of it to manage quite a few situations.
Medical supplies are another discussion point. Again, these are good "enough," but keep in mind that med supplies all have expiration dates. The more OCD among us (like me) will say look at these supplies every three months to make sure everything is in order. And also keep in mind this is *first* aid. It's not a paramedic kit.
This all said, I appreciate the inclusion of a wide variety of...things. Frankly I keep the kit in my car trunk which seems to nicely fit the overall intention of the product. There's enough here where I wouldn't feel under equipped in an emergency, and it's not in a giant duffle bag.
So really - I like the product. I like the boxes it checks. It is a good basis from which to build a more-tailored kit for individual needs. I'm happy with it.
