My dog is getting older and was struggling to jump on the couch. These steps are perfect for her. It's very soft and easy for her to use. That said, it isn't a hard surface, more like a dense pillow. I'm not sure how well it work for a large dog.

This ended up being just as advertised but I had my doubts. It was so compressed and lopsided that it still didn't fill the cover after 3 days so I had to put it in the dryer a few times. Eventually it did fully fill out and has been great.

I gave this a 4 star because I think it would be fine for a very small dog. It says for up to 60 lbs. My dog is not over 60 lbs and absolutely was not sturdy for her.
I do not like the fact that I had to purchase a box too with UPS. I paid half of what I paid for this for a box for shipping. They go by size and once you unwrap it, it expands so you will need a bigger box for return than for them to deliver to you.

Previously I had a hard bodies three step ramp for my dogs. I was covered in a felt material that, unfortunately, attracted my cats to use it as a scratching board. I tried to pull off the fabric with the idea of just painting the steps, but it was stuck on with some sort of miracle glue that made that an awful mess. So I decided to order these because it looked like it might solve my problem with cats. The item is delivered in a small, light weight package. After unrolling the foam steps, applying the washable cover was very easy. FYI, if you try to put it on the wrong way, it won't zip up, so if you are struggling, you reverse it. Then the zipper goes up easily. I think the idea of the lint roller on the side is such a good idea. This was obviously designed by someone who has pets and knows how annoying cat and dog hair can be. Highly recommend.
