I have been needing something like this for a good while now. I have a 5.2 home theater system and it can be a pain locating the subwoofers close to the receiver in a narrow room. This gives me the option to connect to the subwoofer pre-outs on my Yamaha receiver and put the subwoofer(s) where ever I want them. This really opens up a lot of possibilities as far as setup goes.

It includes TOSLINK cables and 1/8" stereo phono cables, as well as USB C cables and 2x 1Ah power supplies. What it doesn't include is a 1/8" stereo to dual RCA output for connection to a subwoofer. All of my subwoofers use RCA inputs, not 1/8" stereo. Also, my receiver's subwoofer pre-outs are RCA as well. So unless you have some odd-ball setup that doesn't use RCA hookups but rather 1/8" stereo cables, you'll be great. The rest of us will have to add cables. And what cables you'll need will depend on whether or not you want to run 1 subwoofer or 2.

First, you'll need a dual RCA to 1/8" stereo cable to connect your receiver's subwoofer pre-outs to the Tx (transmitter)

Second, you'll need a dual RCA to 1/8" stereo cable to connect the Rx (receiver) to your subwoofer.

Third, if you run TWO subwoofers like I do, you'll need a pair of RCA y-cables to split the output from the Rx.

Now, I would totally accept not including RCA y-cables for the dual-subwoofer crowd. That can be a bit "exotic" and not everyone runs dual subs.

However, seeing as most receivers use RCA outputs for the subwoofer pre-outs, and most subwoofers use RCA inputs, I'm not a fan of them not including any 1/8" to RCA cables. They don't even include any single-channel RCA cables if your sub happens to only have mono-in. So unless your subwoofers use 1/8" stereo inputs (I'm not aware of many that do, save for desktop speakers for computers), you're going to need to add a few cables on top of this if you want to use it with your subwoofers.

Other than not including some very necessary cables, which I deducted a star for (more people are going to use the 1/8" to RCA than will use TOSLINK, guaranteed), everything else about this setup is perfect for what I needed it for, which is relocating my subs to an out-of-the-way locale. The build quality is good, the sound quality is difficult to tell from a wired connection, and the price is pretty reasonable.

I gave this 4 stars, and recommend it for the overall excellent quality and simple operation, but caution that many of you will need to purchase / add additional cables to make it all work for your individual setup.

This audio transmitter (TX) / receiver (RX) pair provides an ideal solution for those seeking good quality wireless audio transmission. It is suitable for older speaker technology that lacks Bluetooth, connection to speakers with Bluetooth that may be beyond Bluetooth range, and placement of speakers, such as a subwoofer, where running speaker cables is not a viable option.

Besides the transmitter & receiver, the box contains two AC adapters, two 40.75" USB-A to USB-C cables, two 41" 3.5mm cables, and two Toslink optical cables. RCA (referred to by this product as coaxial) cables are not included. (see photo)

The TX & RX paired easily and quickly once both were plugged in. When not paired, either shows alternating red & blue lights, and when paired the blue light shines solid. I tested this by connecting the TX to my laptop using the 3.5mm cable, playing music through Spotify in the upstairs of a two story house (see photo). For the RX I tested two speaker profiles. One is an older computer stereo subwoofer/tweeter satellite set without Bluetooth, but with a 3.5mm input, under my desk. Once plugged in the sound was great, just as if it was plugged directly into the source. The advantage here is that I could now move this speaker set from under my desk and place it anywhere else.

The second speaker profile was with a soundbar, again with the connection using the 3.5mm cable. With this setup, I could more easily test the TX/RX range. With the TX still active in my upstairs office, I plugged the receiver into various outlets in different rooms upstairs. In each case the RX paired quickly (solid blue light). Then, with the TX still active upstairs, I performed the RX test in every room downstairs and it paired perfectly each time (see photo with the receiver plugged into the soundbar in my downstairs dining room). So, the range of this TX/RX pair is as advertised, noting that I did not take to receiver outside of the house.

Next I will test this TX/RX pair with my home 5.2 surround sound system, connected to KEF speakers. That system's speaker setup also utilizes KEF's version of 2.4Ghz low latency wireless transmission to the rear satellites, which has been perfect because the architecture of the room does not allow running speaker wires to the rear speakers. However, the subwoofer has always been problematic. I'm hoping that this 1Mii TX/RX pair will help solve the problem. I haven't tested it for this review, in part because it requires digging into the ganglia of wires within my stereo cabinet, and the other is that I suspect the subwoofer has been defective all along. However, if this 1Mii product does solve the subwoofer problem, I will definitely edit this review. Otherwise, now that I'm armed with this TX/RX pair, I can always upgrade to another subwoofer.

GENERAL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Two Main Devices, a transmitter and receiver. Both devices are powered by either the supplied 5VDC power supplies or via a USB source; I tested both sources, and the units operate fine with either. When the power button is pressed for> 3 seconds the Transmitter will contact the receiver via a 2.4 GHz wireless signal, an LED will initially flash and turn blue once it has successfully negotiated the channel, likewise, the LED on the Receiver will turn blue as well. The setup is simple, connect the audio source (8 ohms) to one of the three media jacks on the Transmitter, and on the receiver connect the audio source to your sound system or amplified Speaker. That's It!

TEST SUMMARY: At a relative receive signal of "“15dbm0, it becomes obvious why a pre-amp, amplifier, or amplified speaker is required; -15dbm0 is not powerful enough to drive a speaker. Before recording the video, I conducted a baseline pre-test with the devices only a few feet apart, the sound had excellent clarity and the oscilloscope waveform was crisp. On the main test at 150ft the sound did have some minor loss of fidelity, and the oscilloscope waveform confirmed the presence of minor distortion. If the transmit and receive devices are placed

SUMMARY: This system provides a cost-effective method to transmit audio on a short-range basis. It won't perform miracles, but if the locations are carefully chosen the devices can transport high-quality audio. TIP: Keep the antennas elevated and AWAY from IOT-enabled devices.

I'm an audiophile and a stereo buff so obviously I was going to be very critical of any audio quality loss, if there was any.

I connected the transmitter in my studio to a very high-end audio unit, using only the small audio mini-jack connection. I then went to the other end of our house, which is probably about 60 ft away and connected some high-fidelity headphones directly to the audio mini-jack as well on the receiver. I then proceeded to play some very high quality audio files and was just completely amazed how accurate and crisp the signal was. In fact, I could not tell any difference between that 60 ft distance with an audio transmission at 2.4 GHz versus plugging my headphones directly into the audio source. It sounded exactly the same. Just amazing!

So after that testing, I will be using these two units for an external active subwoofer that I plan on installing, now that I know the audio quality is superb.
