Good basic make-up kit

The eyeshadow palettes are lovely. The powders have a good mix of mica and base and they go on very well and last all day. The sponges and makeup brush are good quality and you can never have enough of them. The eyebrow pencil, mascara, foundations, and lipsticks are pretty basic. Nothing much to rave about. The eyeliner marker with the angel wing stamp is fun! The liner end is thicker than most other liquid eyeliner pens and the stamp is great. It makes getting that wing look super easy and just buying the liner with a stamp alone can cost 10-20 dollars. The highlighter/contour/blusher palette is so hard that none of my brushes scratched the surface, which is a shame because I like powders for contouring my nose. The primer is a basic silicone primer that comes in most of these kits. Better than nothing. What surprised me was the brow soap. I've never seen or used it before. I have a brow pomade that I use and the instructions on the brow soap said to wet the brush, rub in the soap, and apply to brows in an upward motion to create a feather look after applying eyebrow powder/pencil/pomade. I usually just use a brush and the pomade does its thing, but this made it all look a little more natural and groomed. It's not a cheap makeup kit, but it's not top-of-the-line either. It IS definitely worth it for the eyeshadow palettes, brush, sponges, eyeliner, and brow soap, though. The rest of the stuff is fine for backups in case you run out of a preferred product.
