Decent replacement for hard to find size

I have an old road bike with a 1" threaded headset and needed a replacement. This for the bill while also being pretty inexpensive. These old sizes are getting harder to find, so it's nice that you can still find these on Amazon fairly easily.
This one probably won't win any awards in the area of precision, but it fits together nicely and tightens down adequately, which is really what one needs anyway.
I will say that for my application, the head tube is very small. It's a small bike so the stack height is pretty short. This headset was a smidge too tall to allow the use of the locknut, so I had to improvise using my old one. No big deal, it all worked out in the end, but something buyers should be aware of. If you are working on your bike yourself it's something you should be able to figure out. If not, bring in a professional to help you!
All in all, I'd say for the price point and the fact that you can get this delivered from Amazon, it's a good deal and worth checking out.

I really did not expect this kind of completeness or quality and thought. The bearings are nice and clean and well made, the bearing seats are precise and went right in, the bottom bearing race is unusual to see a headset of any sort with open bearings, and the unique (to me) large locking flat washer on the top really snugs things up so that I know that this will not move. Great looking on a cruiser or classic looking bike.
