We have other night vision tools but these are easily our favorites. They offer a much better range of night vision than our other binocs, mostly due to a far more powerful IR illuminator. The range on these things is very impressive.
If you're unfamiliar with night vision devices (or maybe if you are), the controls will take some getting used to. This is one place where reading the manual will help. After you've figured things out, though, they become quite simple--almost intuitive--to use.

Overall is pretty cool. Biggest bummer is the need for so many batteries....at this price point would expect a rechargeable battery option. Once figured out the device it does work fairly well. At this price and with no rechargeable battery, I probably would not get this again.

The night vision on these binos are good. Its digital NV, not like a phosphor tube in a PVS-14. The zoom function is good, and the IR flood light is nice, but it is really bright and floods out anything in front of you. I wish there was a diffuser or filter that came with it but it is easy enough to make one for it.

Listen, if you are looking for some Delta Force, Soec Ops Modern Warfare military night vision, these are not them. What you do get is a great well-made recreational night vision binoc. thats more than good enough for most of us. The zoom on these is great and the actual night vision is more than sufficient to see animals or your kids in the backyard. I haven't tested the maximum range but I have woods in my backyard and I could see clearly at night from about 300 feet. Its fun. There are more than enough features to these like image capture, recording , infrared and an included 32gig sd card. My only negative is the battery requirement (8 AA) but it will last long if you arent using them every days for hours. I would love if these had a rechargeable but for what they are its fine and these are great and fun to use.
