This is a great additon to a camping setup. This is not survival equipment. This isn't even for roughing it in the woods. This is a for a camp site at a campground. It's for chopping small logs for a campfire for roasting hotdogs or marshamallows. It's for cutting small branches or clearing some brush. The paracord can come in handy for hanging a hammock or adding strength to a tent or awning. I would not want to use this for wilderness survival. It's all light weight so it would could easily be carried in a backpack or bug out bag. It's also durable quality for light to moderate use. This also a great gift. My husband was thrilled to get it at Christmas to add to his camping equipment.

This tool set for outdoor adventures provides a lot of useful components. The machete and hunting knife are both super sharp and ready to use. The serrated saw will be handy for cutting small pieces of wood without much effort. I tried it on some dead tree limbs in my back yard and it sawed through them with ease. I found the rope covered handles to be somewhat uncomfortable to use. If they were wrapped completely with no exposed metal, or made from wood or plastic, they would be a lot better. I ended up using padded gloves to make them more comfortable to use. The other thing missing is a storage bag, which is definitely needed for all of the many pieces in this kit. I plan to get a bag for this outdoor utility set, and carry it in my truck. I like this tool set for myself, and it would also make a great gift for those who enjoy the outdoor life.
