I have used this product before, but it was exposed metal that corroded. The teflon coat is a nice improvement and the cord is longer on this model. Works the way it should. Happy with this purchase.

It's nice. Water for sure evaporates more quickly with the use of this so keep an eye out for that. I've just used it for a short period of time but so far so good!! I'll update later in winter if there's anything more to say :)!

I have a mare who doesn't drink enough water in winter because I believe she detests iced cold water. I use a smaller rubber tank that holds a hundred gallons and this device safely keeps liquids warm enough for her to come and take long drinks after eating hay. I can feel confident she will drink enough to prevent getting bound up and colic. Plugs in easily to the barn and it's well protected with a hard casing. Worth the money for winter water heating.

The media could not be loaded. Been using this in a 5 gallon bucket for my dogs water and it works great. I only have the tip in the water because when it was fully submerged there was a lot of evaporation. This set up has worked really well.
