I Purchased this to replace the large flat TV antenna that was adhered to my window. That particular antenna had lost its adhesiveness and was becoming a challenge to use. I really like the fact that this antenna has a heavy, weighted, magnetic base. Even without magnets, the space stands up on a table, top surface without tipping over. The antenna itself isn't much bigger than a sharpie marker. The chords are longer and thicker than my previous antenna, which gives me not only the option of placing this in a better area of reception, but the second coax cable transmits a much clearer signal.
This particular antenna can also be used outdoors. It has a way to transmit from short range for indoors to long range which is supposed to transmit over 320 feet. This weatherproof magnetic antenna can be placed outdoors.
