• •[WHY GEL-FREE PADS?]The KWIKtest Gel-Free Pads are needed because urine is absorbed too efficiently into the gel beads in a diaper, but the KWIKtest Gel-Free Pad retains enough urine for urine analysis with our KWIKtest UTI Test Strip.
• •[HOW IT WORKS] The KWIKtest UTI Diaper Test works by first applying a KWIKtest Gel-Free Pad to the inside of the new disposable diaper. After urination has occurred, the caregiver (with a gloved hand) presses the colored squares on the KWIKtest UTI Test Strip onto the damp KWIKtest Gel-Free Pad for just a few seconds to allow the colored squares to adequately absorb the urine. After adequate absorption, the caregiver compares the color of the squares to the color blocks on the color chart for easy interpretation. This makes it easy to see if Leukocytes or Nitrites are present, even if there are only small amounts present.
