You May Not Get The Pinnacle Card

Purchased this Pinnacle Systems Studio DV , it was delivered on time, good job Amazon.
Problem is the capture card is NOT a Pinnacle card, it was a Sony OCH compliant card.
I installed it in mt XP computer went to My Computer, opened the properties, check the hardware
and confirmed this is not a Pinnacle card,
The card I got only has 2 firewire ports and ,the card looks nothing like the advertised photo.
I also looked this Pinnacle card up in other sites and they stated it will not work with Premiere
I have Premiere 6.0 and the Sony card does work with it.
As the card does work for me and it was only $26.00, I will not go through the hassle of returning it.

Great product for beginning editors

I've been very pleased with this product after I got it installed successfully. My computer was installed with Win 98 (first edition) and it just would not work even after installing all of the patches and updates from Pinnacle. I upgraded my machine to Win 2000 and it has been very stable since. Also, my machine is an AMD-K6 400 MHZ, 128MB RAM with a 10GB drive and I would say that this is the bare minimum that you can successfully capture and playback videos using this product. Anything less than this would take forever to render your videos and your storage would dissappear within minutes. I've used Adobe Premier at my employer and it is just overkill for just editing family/vacation videos and the learning curve is large. I've found that this product provides a more than enough editing features for the home user without being too basic to make it useless. I give it 4 stars only because of the hefty hardware and OS requirements.

Ok.....when i opened my computer to install the card, i had a few problems getting the card to fit in the slot right. After getting past that problem, i had no other problems after downloading the patches from pinnacle like the other reviewers said to do. This product is awesome! Im glad i stuck with it after the inital problem because it really is a good product for the price. I would give it five stars, but i had the inital problem, and i did have to download a patch. Otherwise, it is a great product for editing dv tapes.
