I use this cute little hen everyday to cook boiled eggs. It's very convenient and easy to use. Also it's really cute! I originally bought it for gift exchange but ended up using it myself😅 I'm glad that I bought it. I found the chirping funny.. it's not loud at all.

Henrietta was so cute that when I broke the lid on the Sunbeam egg cooker that I had been using for 43 years, I decided to give her a try. My first reaction after opening the package was that as with most products, she is mostly plastic compared with the metal cooker that I had been using, but I was anxious to try her out. The hard boiled egg feature worked great with the 7 eggs turning out just as I had hoped. I was glad to have the little device to poke a small hole in each egg, but beware that it is very sharp. When I tried poaching eggs, I found that I had to adjust the amount of water since the eggs didn't come out as done as we would have liked using the amount of water per the little measuring cups in the bottom of the cooker. However, once that was done, I have been very happy with the poached eggs. The poaching tray is egg-shaped so the two poached eggs in the front are a little different in shape from the two in the back; however, once served, no one would know the difference. The cooker starts working the minute it is plugged in and stops "chirping" and cooking as soon as it is unplugged which I appreciated so that the eggs don't get overcooked. I have enjoyed this cute new addition to our kitchen!

Making hard boiled eggs. Doesn't work as well as the one I purchased twenty years ago, but Things are cheaper now. Takes longer to get hard boiled eggs and boils over, so set on absorbent pad.

Love this little clucker - though, as noted by another reviewer, it doesn't actually cluck or cheep - it beeps. Eggcellent product - does exactly what it says it will do and does a great job. I have a couple of eggs for breakfast most mornings and it's so nice to put them in Henrietta and know that they'll be perfect and I don't have to keep an eye on them or wonder if they're done. Hint: warm the eggs for a few minutes in the shell in a bowl of hot water, before using them for poached - that way the egg white will cook more quickly and you won't over-cook the yolks.
I've been using Henrietta for a couple of months now and use it 3-4 times a week. Just this morning I whipped up a batch of scrambled eggs with ham and cheese. Just put the mixture evenly into the egg poaching tray, be sure to spray with cooking spray, and cook on the hardboiled egg "setting". Fantastic! I usually turn it on when I get into the shower and they're done by the time my hair is dry. Pop them into a container to take with me to work for breakfast at my desk.
Still love it - still works beautifully - wouldn't cook my soft or hard boiled eggs any other way. They always come of perfect and they always come out of the shell easily.
