Keeps paint cans clean.

The only fault is that it is impossible to get the paint can handle over the top so you have to tilt the can. It fits in well and prevents any paint from running into the can ridge. I cover it with plastic wrap between pour outs. All the dried paint pealed off easily when I was done. I put a small grocery bag over the top when I remove it to catch any drips that could fly off. I use the other Shur-Line paint can covers with pour spouts on other types of painting jobs. They are a little harder to install. Paint lasts a long time if it is not contaminated and the can is sealed tightly.
Will save clean up time

I really like this product. For years I have just poured my paint over the rim of the paint can. What a mistake that is. If you don't completely wipe all paint out of the rim and put the top back on, instantly destroyed can once it dries. This eliminates the need to clean the rim of the can as zero paint gets in it. Just snap this on the can, pour your paint, snap it off (and rinse paint off unit), replace paint can lid like it was brand new. All the damaged cans of yesterday are a thing of the past.
Doesn't work on my paint cans and SURPRISE: NOT RETURNABLE!

This item doesn't fit the plastic gallon paint cans sold by Amazon. Unlike most items sold directly by Amazon, it is not returnable. There is no warning about this in the product description. This is the second product I purchased directly from Amazon in recent months only to find it is not returnable.
Simple but well worth it!

Very simple add-on for a paint can, but for me it was essential! I needed to pour some of the gallon in a small container, and I didn't want it to spill everywhere!
This did the trick as promised!
It "snapped" (for lack of a better word) securely into the gallon can. You have to pour holding the can not the handle (not an issue for me). And very little paint spilled (a drop from the spout was all).
Clean up was easy as it washes well and the paint comes right off of it - ready for another use!
Well worth it to save the frustration of spilling everywhere!

Seems like a good product but on my first time use ...

Seems like a good product but on my first time use I had 2 problems.
1. I put the pourer on the can but then needed to move the can to a different location. Unfortunately the handle would not clear the pourer so I carried the can by hand. This may have lead to problem 2 as I bumped the pourer and maybe broke the seal..
2. When I poured the paint, the paint leaked around the pourer - I expected a tight seal between the pourer and the can - not so and thus a BIG mess.
Seems like a great idea but I had these 2 problems. Maybe others could comment and help.
