As an aging senior citizen, I purchased the 4-step Little Giant to ensure that I could safely do odd jobs and maintenance work in my apartment.without need to call building maintenance to replace ceiling light bulbs, etc. I'm so glad I did, because the day after I received my Little Giant, I had to use it. It's a bit heavy (approx. 26 pounds) and awkward to move around, but it has wheels, unfolds easily, and is solid as a rock. Opening/locking and closing the handrail requires some squeeze effort but, if necessary, a dash of oil lubricant can be applied to the side bolts to lessen (somewhat) the effort. I store Little Giant in the back of a clothes closet. When stored it's about 55 inches high and the width (thickness) is about 5 inches. The Little Giant's wide steps and sturdy build are safety measures most appropriate for people who feel insecure on a regular step ladder. Even with the wide steps, however, users should always face the ladder when climbing and descending the unit.

Bottom line: This is an expertly designed, unbeatable safety ladder!

My wife had a ladder accident years ago. This is the first ladder she feels safe on. Well worth the extra cost. It takes learning to maneuver this around the house. The ladder is not heavy if you balance it on the wheels correctly. The small roller wheels cause rolling resistance over our carpet, but are fine on other floors. I appreciate the wide steps that make working on light fixtures and fan blades ( 8 foot ceiling ) easy, even when I feel tired. Quality construction.

Four words: Best Ladder Purchase Ever! This ladder is so stable and the utility tray is perfect for holding screw drivers, drill bits etc. Just installed some outdoor lights for a couple of hours and this was so comfortable and stable to work on. This is by far the best step ladder I have ever used. It is a plus to the Little Giant Ladder systems. It is sturdy. The four step risers are wide and secure...no wobble/wiggle. Go right to the top step and work above your head and feel comfortable turning around. Light weight and compact. Wheels allow you to move it with ease for short distances but it is light enough to carry. A PHENOMENAL product!

I needed to find a ladder with wide steps for working over head, that's durable and with 4 steps. Most of this type have 3 steps. The wide steps are better for my feet, especially when standing on them for several hours. I was impressed with the solid construction, wide rubber covered steps. It folds up easy and doesn't take up a lot of space. The step design allows you to easily walk up but when spread out, it needs a bit of room, not for small spaces. The only thing I wish it had come with is a larger fold down tray to rest tools on. Other than that it's great. I have other ladders of different sizes, this one surely has it's uses. I'm glad to have it!
