This device will allow you to use a three-RCA cord (e.g. Red/White/Yellow cord) device with a TV that has only a COAX (i.e. TV Cable) input. So you can hook essentially any modern device to an older TV. It also allows you to hook the TV cable or antenna to the box and switches automatically so that you can still get normal TV signals on your TV without having to plug and unplug any of the wires.
