Worked great to get data off old Iomega disks
John Bailey•December 10, 2017
Works great. I had a friend whose drive died and needed to get the data from the old drives. It worked and I was able to transfer the data to current storage technology (USB drives)

Horrible!

Very Good Condition was more like Not functional! The reader was shipped in flimsy envelope with barely any protection. By the time I get it, the top cover comes off just holding it. The top cover itself is dirty and banged in 3 places. Placed the cover back. Plugged it. Place disk in. Computer won't find the drive. Try on other computer, Nothing. Now the disk is stuck inside. The release button does nothing. Bring it to best buy to see if their cables and their computer can recognize the drive and hopefully remove my drive. Nop. The store crew didn't want to damage the reader. Sending it in = $250. Called another local data recovery company that wants $600 and a week to see if they can figure out how to retrieve data. The hell with that. I won't return the reader to seller with the disk inside. So I decided to bite the +/- $30 and dismantle the damn reader to save the disk.
