Was injured in package but easily reshaped

Record heat here this year, but this hat is ventilated well, and keeps my head dry. No sweat. I ride horses all Summer in this, and it has kept me cool. Beautiful construction. Wonderful sun protection, as noticed much less harmful sunburn from previous years. A little spendy, but fabulous. Will last for many years.

It's what I expected from Stetson. It fits well, it's comfortable and instead of the elastic inner hatband, which seems to be the trend, it has a dri-lex interior sweatband. I'm guessing it will last a long time, but only time will tell. I'm very happy with it so far.

This is my second one of these. The Panama straw is the best for high heat and humidity. They do run small and shrink. These should be purchased a bit large and sweat in. These hats are best for those who work them and need to keep body heat down. Follow Stetson size chart and add bit to find your size. In high heat, you can feel a temperature difference between this and a straw cowboy hat.

Arrived on time and in great condition. The hat was nicely secured in its own box with ample cushioning to preserve shape. I have a pretty big noggin, but I followed their sizing chart and went with an XL instead of the double, and I'm glad I did. Fits perfectly, and I wear a good 7&5/8 ball cap - which is normally an XXL in all other hat brands (and could be tight at that!). Appropriately light weight and the woven straw on the crown allow for you to feel the breeze when wearing it. Good size brim to keep sun off your face. Only thing I would like to have improved is the cinch (bead) on the leather string - it doesn't stay cinched and secured under your chin. Will likely replace myself.
