Excellent vanilla taste. Love to substitute it for vanilla as it has the vanilla bean flecks in it that add to the taste.

Ahhh... amazing taste. Much better then any other brand and type. No bitterness. Pretty much the same results as with real vanilla beans, but without all the headache.

I understand there was a problem with the vanilla harvest. Still, not purchasable at this price.
This vanilla has a great flavor and is great for putting in things that don't get cooked, like a smoothie, as there's no bitter alcohol. I would only complain about the bottle, which ends up with a big vanilla mess all over the threads, but I don't know what you'd do about it.

The product itself deserves 5 stars. It really does make a world's difference in cakes and frostings, and the vanilla specks are beautiful in everything. I've been ordering it for several years. Only reason I knocked off a star is because the price went up $10 recently. I get it that prices go up over time, but ten bucks suddenly is quite the jump. It's still cheaper than when you would buy it at a gourmet foods store, but what I loved about buying this on here was that it was just barely pricier than McKormick vanilla. Now I'm not so quick to order it.

Bottom line: TASTE. This is simply the best tasting, most favorful vanilla I have ever used. No off taste or smell. The small flecks of vanilla retain the flavor better in baked goods but do not over power in items such as tapioca pudding. As for use it pours easily out of the bottle like a thick syrup.
While their extract is also excellent I now use this paste exclusively anywhere I want a wonderful vanilla taste.
I have lived around the world and tried vanilla extracts everywhere I have been. Just can't find anything better.
